Elton John has reignited his feud with Madonna by dubbing her a "fairground stripper" and err... some other colourful words.
The singer was acting in response to Madonna's slur on Lady Gaga's track Born This Way, which she thinks bares an uncanny resemblence to her 1989 single Express Yourself. Elton waded in to defend Gaga, the godmother to his son Zachary, when Madonna's comments over the song were brought up in a recent interview:
"Why is she such a nightmare? Sorry, her career is over. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn’t happen to a bigger c***...If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray Of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly...She looks like a f***ing fairground stripper. She’s been horrible to Gaga."
When asked about Gaga's track, Madonna had boasted "I'm glad I could help her write it". Madonna was working on her MDMA tour when she made the comment a month ago.
At the GQ Awards Elton had dubbed Madge a "mime act" although the pair seemed to patch things up five years ago as they were papped hugging at a celebrity bash. Elton had said,
"This is a moment you thought you would never see."
However when Madonna pipped both Gaga and Elton to the Best Original Song prize at the Golden Globes with a song from her film W.E, the win must've come as a shock to Elton who had earlier stated that Madonna had "no f***ing chance" of winning. After the winner was announced, Elton's husband David Furnish tweeted,
‘Madonna. Best song???? F*** off!!!...‘Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit...Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism. And her criticism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is.'
Wow...some feud!! What do you guys think??
